Better handling of runtime scraping for multi-file movies

I know this was discussed in the 3.148 annoncement thread but I just wanted to flag it out seperately as I've just realised that it's made a hash of a fair amount of my movie data as it currently only scrapes the first file of a multi-file movie. Would love to see it simply sum the runtime of each part of a multi-file movie and store that value, e.g. Movie (2009) CD1.avi (runtime is 70 mins) Movie (2009) CD2.avi (runtime is 60 mins) Movie (2009) CD1.nfo (runtime stored is 130 mins)

Hi,

All 3 tempates fail to generate HTML, a non (MC) standard dialog with the details is displayed but these can't be copied and pasted. The error occurs quite quickly (for all but the one which includes the plot).

Is this just happening to me? On initial startup its quite noticeable, but on a restart its barely noticeable....perhaps on a faster machine its not noticeable at all?

Always wondered, is it possible to have the HTML file show more than just the title? I mean the link to IMdb is great, but could you have it say show the poster and the brief outline/summary for the movie also? i was just thinking it would be great to be able to use this fle as a way of telling friends and family what movies i have so they can borrow. And, this is probably going too far, but is there a way to have it maybe split by genre or day added etc? Anyway just an idea ...

Sort by rating raises exception. I haven't got the details now, if not easily reproducable I'll post details when at home.

Got exceptions for other things as well, will take more note of what is occuring and report these also (as no one else appears to have reported these).

Billy - I noticed a small issue with the context menu showing 'Search "tvshow" for new episodes': If you right click a season (to say rename or something) and then immediately right click the top level show - the option to search for new episodes is not there. I need to click off that current TV Show and then the menu item shows up again.

I have come across a few occasions now where it would have been handy to right click on a poster or more often a fanart & open it in a picture editor for some adjustments... Several fanarts are mirror reversed & some are not the correct aspect ratio. Some could just do with a touch up.... Do you think Billy you could add a picture editor preference like the video player one & a context menu for the pictures so they can be edited externally? Cheers

After you rescrape a movie beginning with "The", it is put back in the list with "The" at the front again....

A rebuild movies fixes the issue however....

Hi,

Previous MC versions created "The Game Plan Part 1.nfo" and "The Game Plan Part 1.tbn" for "The Game Plan Part 1.avi", now while the ".nfo" is the same the existing ".tbn" is not found and if you create one it uses "The Game Plan.tbn" instead.

Hi,

Thanks for a great update, just a couple of things I have noticed;

If I select the "Duplicate" filter it does not show up any duplicates, I know I have several.

Also selecting "Problem", lists all the movies and as far as I am aware there should be none unless it is looking at something new in the .nfo.

Billy, I not sure if this has been discussed previously, but I would love to have a function to print out a list of Films and TV shows. I know there is a HTML output for films with hyperlinks, but just a simple ‘coffee table’ printout would be very useful. Perhaps we could get an "Incomplete" filter. returns any results with empty areas, fanart, posters. This might let you get rid of the missing fanart/poster options from the drop down list.

Library problem on XBMC

I'm using Media Companion for tv scraping. I hate complaining and have held off on bringing this up but I can't take it anymore. TV shows are the last thing to work on XBMC for me. The scraper doesn't work for me, and Media Companion wasn't working correctly till recently. My process is to use EpNamer to rename my files to a naming convention Media Companion likes. 3.168 Genre Filter

Not sure if this is a bug or request. But when additional genres are added you get the scrollbar which is all good. But when you move the bar that splits the "movie search" and "movie info" the genre filter does not increase in size. It stays the same size with the scroll bar. It would be good if the box that contains the genre filter increased in size just like the movie list and search boxes do. Hi - I've got a bunch of TV Shows that I've ripped from DVD and renamed according to XBMC's naming convention, like this:
Curb Your Enthusiasm 1x07.1x08.1x09.1x10.1x11.1x12.iso

The scraper moves through my TV shows and then hangs up when it reaches one of these multi-episode files. Is this a known issue?

3.154 not scraping Audio from VIDEO_TS rips

Hi,

Found a small issue in that no Audio info is scraped from any DVD/VIDEO_TS folders .IFO containers.

Have tried with Ember MM, it uses the same version of MediaInfo.dll and that pulls the Audio info correctly. All other file types seem fine, just .IFO containers.

Mass Trailer Download

As I understand it you can include the path to the trailer in the nfo for xbmc to stream. Or on the main page of a movie you can choose to download the trailer. But, is it possible to mass download trailers with 1 click so it goes and gets the trailer for each movie from IMDB and places it along side the movie? That way you have a trailer for each movie even if you're offline - plus speeds up movie selection when the annnoying wife is deciding which film she wants to watch by watching trailers... ...

TV Scraper Regex priority

Just found an issue with the program "V" .... filename e.g. V.2009.S01E01.avi because of the order of the regex's the Series 20 Episode 09 is being found first & the S01E01 is not even being tested. Billy, can we somehow order these to our preferences OR do you think that S01E01 format should be tested first since the other could easily be just a 4 digit year. IMDb Scraper Error!

Seems to be another issue or change at IMDb I am consistently getting "scrapper error" text in Studio, Genre, Outline, Plot, Tagline and in some cases for Runtime the other fields seem to scrape ok. Cannot say when it started but I think I scrapped last night so it was sometime in the last 24hrs.

Fanart browser suggestion

On the TV and Movie Fanart pages, perhaps the the image size and crop buttons could be moved down betsides the URL and SAVE buttons, thus allowing the current fanart image to take up more space. Or if you plan on supporting multi-Fanart images then perhaps it could be setup like windows filmstrip view with additional Fanart images displayed below the current selected fanart.
