I have come across a few occasions now where it would have been handy to right click on a poster or more often a fanart & open it in a picture editor for some adjustments...

Several fanarts are mirror reversed & some are not the correct aspect ratio. Some could just do with a touch up....

Do you think Billy you could add a picture editor preference like the video player one & a context menu for the pictures so they can be edited externally?

Billy, I not sure if this has been discussed previously, but I would love to have a function to print out a list of Films and TV shows. I know there is a HTML output for films with hyperlinks, but just a simple ‘coffee table’ printout would be very useful. As the weeks go on, the collection grows and grows! and keeping track is getting harder – I’m sure I’m not the only one :-)

I used to use DVD profiler, and that was able to print out customisable ‘reports’ that were handy.

But, is it possible to mass download trailers with 1 click so it goes and gets the trailer for each movie from IMDB and places it along side the movie? That way you have a trailer for each movie even if you're offline - plus speeds up movie selection when the annnoying wife is deciding which film she wants to watch by watching trailers... ...

because of the order of the regex's the Series 20 Episode 09 is being found first & the S01E01 is not even being tested.

Billy, can we somehow order these to our preferences OR do you think that S01E01 format should be tested first since the other could easily be just a 4 digit year. It should be left to last as a last resort.

I think the tesing order should be

Hi ya,

Just a reminder, the actor search is still missing. The only thing wrong with the way it used to work is that you couldn't search for any actor, you could only choose an actor on a particular movie and search on that. This is fine but it would also be nice if it remembered all "known" actors (across all movies) and there was a tool for this.

Billy: Not sure if this one is in the cards or not, but a context menu from the main browser to search for new episodes only for the current show sure would save me a lot time. Generally I am only updating a couple episodes out of the 100+ different tv shows - cause most of them are complete (older shows that no longer are aired). Another feature might be to lock tv shows from rescrapes or new episodes searches if they are 'complete'?

Hi,
the new "Rename TV Shows" functionallity is great, but would be even greater if there was a way to rename all shows and episodes with just one click. Today you need to right click each season in order to rename episodes. Perhaps a new menu option under TV Shows? To be able to use this by right clicking the show itself would be a great improvement as well.

hi

some other ideas

1 IMDB rating filter i think this has been discussed before.

2 filter directories. IE if you only want to display content in directory 1 and 4

real life example i have 4 xbmc units 2 for kids and 1 adults and one teen

i have movies for kids in one directory and adults in another and mc lists all

it would be great to filter only one of the directories to check content.

     Season 02....etc

First I would like to say thank you for your program. It has saved me hours upon hours of having to manually maintain my library across multiple machines.

One feature I can see having added benefit would be to rename files based on the data scraped much like MP3 renaming software does.

An example would be

$S$E - $T

might return the name

S01E01 - Cartman Gets an Anal Probe

or

$T ($Y)

returns

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

Just a thought.

Again thanks ...

When you create the TV section, is there a way to list all the TV shows so that you can see more at once rather than the Gen1 version which only listed 1 at a time unless you activate the pull-down. In otherwords use a list box instead of a combo box.

I'm wondering if the Seasons section that was in Gen 1 could revert back to just a combo box in Gen2 saving space for the actual TV shows.....

Then under that have a section to display the actual episodes ...

It could work with MC so you know what movies you have and a wish list so you can make a note of movies you want to get.
I have a lot of movies and can't remember all of them. I write movies down on my hand to remember what to get latter.
The app store does have some, but nothing as good as MC and they cost for the app and the software on your computer. The best one cost $10 for the app and $50 for the computer program.

Fanart / Poster Quality rating system.

The problem with Fanart, Posters, Actor Thumbs etc is the default chosen is often times a very poor quality. Cropped box scans end up being displayed as posters, Fanart is composed of low quality screen caps some fan uploaded instead of studio released art and so on.

I propose a way of determining automatically which piece of art MC will chose by default based on the over-ride decisions of the community.

Upon manually editing an art source, the imdb/tvdb tag number is submitted ...

Auto generate possible posters from Movie

Hi,

For TV shows you have the ability to capture a frame for a poster. I'd like something similar for movies except I think it would be better to have more control, perhaps the poster browser could autogenerate 'x' number of images allowing you to choose the one you want like you do from posters from the poster sites.

No biggy but just an idea for when you can't find a decent poster.
