PostSubject: Getting an Error When Trying to Change the Poster/Banner of a TV Show   Thu Mar 04, 2010 9:27 pm

Hi Billy,

I just upgraded to 3.225 and I am getting a weird error.

Everytime I try to change the poster or banner of a TV show this error box pops up.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Hi Billy,

Still getting the same error on 2.230.

I also noticed that when i tried to set my preferences within the TV shows, and i exited the application, when i went back to them after I re-opened, they were not saved.

Yep - getting same error when changing posters on TV Shows.

Error text is
Code:
System.ArgumentException: The path is not of a legal form.
  at System.IO.Path.NormalizePathFast(String path, Boolean fullCheck)
  at System.IO.Path.NormalizePath(String path, Boolean fullCheck)
  at System.IO.Path.GetFullPathInternal(String path)

  at System.Drawing.Image.Save(String filename, ImageFormat format)
  at Media_Companion.Form1.Button56_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

Drilling in a little more..

Seems to be specific to when 'Select Working Thumbnail' is set to Main Poster. If I change it to Season All I do not get an error.

Fixed this for the next build,

To be honest i'm a little confused over it, while the issue was fairly easy to trace, I have not actually changed these routines, and I have to ask myself how did they ever work.

Guess I'll never know.
