when i scan for new episodes, it's find some but not all the new episodes i've added, even though they're on the tvdb site. i don't get any errors and the scanning window goes to fast to see if it see the episodes or not. but it doesn't write nfo files for them.

I second this, I've deleted all my .nfo and .tbn files from one of my multi-season shows and did a "scan for new", and got nothing back. The report at the end says no new episodes found when they should all be new.

I had the same issue last night. It found the new episode of 1 show but not the other...
I can't remember what I did to fix, but at some stage I deleted all the nfo's for that show including the tvshow.nfo & eventually it worked.
Not sure if it is/was a Media companion issue or a TVDB issue......
Will Media companion report a failed lookup? Like as if an episode doesn't exist.

I've located the error for this and fixed it,
At the moment, the program is only searching for shows within the TV Show root at the moment. I've fixed this and will UL a new version shortly.
