Now we just need tools (eg Ember) to support this NFO field and
management and survical of 'watched' across versions etc whould be
pretty good (and especially so if the library gets divorced from path
names and is tied to hashes or something)

I would love to get the watched status of movies managed by media companion.

if you read the last page of that thread it explains that it just isn't going to happen.

Looking at that thread though, it does suggest that the watched status can be imported when using a single XML import. That maybe a way around the problem. It would also be a faster way to import your NGO data.
