PostSubject: "Use Folder Names" broken?   Thu Nov 06, 2008 8:23 am

Hi

Thought I'd report this - I have my movie files in the following way:

\300 (2007)\ <-- Folder name

300 (2007).CD1.avi
300 (2007).CD2.avi
300 (2007).nfo
300 (2007.tbn

So as you can see, these files are in a folder named 300 (2007)

In the preferences window, I have selected the tickbox "use folder names" - i.e., in my example, 300 (2007)

However, the program makes nfos and tbns for 300 (2007).CD1.avi - the NFOs and TBNs (and fanart) have the CD1 in its name! Shocked

Is there any way of getting the program to ignore the suffixes (e.g. CD1, CD2) and just name the NFOs and TBNs as the movie name? (e.g. 300 (2007).nfo

Cheers

Jon

another aspect of this is that i notice the program searches using the folder name, but displays the movie in the list using the file name. atleast it's happened on a few movies for me.

Yep same here re the movie filename being used as the title......could the Title be shown instead?

The issue though would be an incorrect scrape resulting in the wrong title being displayed, but perhaps on the right pane with the other move details you could show the actual filename to assist with that issue.

The reason I would like to see the title in the list is it is more likely to be accurate in terms of consistency & formatting. Especially for sequels & the like. Also you wouldn't have to tidy your filename to make it clear what movie it is.

Cheers

It would be very easy to use the movie title rather than the filename.

At the moment I am spending all my time trying to get the issues with the TV Scraper fixed.
After that I will be moving the fanart scanner onto its own thread and finishing the fanart selection tool for Movies.

Once these are complete and working ok then I will look at the above.

Thanks for the reply!

It's SO nice to know you actually take note of the things we report, even though it's your program.

Much appreciated mate Smile
