New Version 2.287

Bugfix - All TV Shows that were missing the TVDBID tag would list all episodes for each show without an ID.
Bugfix - Language settings were not been used in the TV Scraper until after a TV Rebuild
Bugfix - The Default and DVD order setting in the TV Show Scraper was setting the inverse of intended (setting 'dvd' would save 'default' and visa versa)

In addition to this, the cache option is now disabled by default until I can figure out the problems with it. If you already have the option enabled then it will stay enabled.

The next few weeks will be a bug hunt, I would appreciate it if people would refrain from making feature requests for the time being, but would report bugs with any useful information that they can offer.

Download Version 2.287

Thanks for another new build billyad2000,

I'd like to report a bug and a feature request;
When i scrape a bunch of movies for the first time it saves them as movie.tbn, movie.nfo and fanart.jpg (if checked) when i use the "scan all movies for fanart" option it saves new fanart for all movies using movie-fanart.jpg.
AEON related; as reported i'd like to use mediaflags in MC too, i use the standalone scanner now because MIP is horrible.

Found the same thing happened with fanart for me, created movie-fanart.jpg when I did a "scan all movies for fanart", agree that MIP is a train wreck to look at, i will stick with MC! It seems media flagging is now supported in MC, awesome! My NFOs have the new media tags added, but the info isn't showing up in Stark, guessing this is to do with my xbmc user data or cache or skin settings..blah blah, we all know how it goes.......still fun though! Thanks billyad2000 for another rock solid release!

Hi, this version is dying performing a media search:

I thought it was my new movie but removing it doesn't change anything, I don't think media companion logs does it? Nothing in "TEMP" directory in any case except a "DW.LOG" with entries like:

There is obcviously something wrong with directory 258 as it always fails there. I think it would help it at least a low level trace were always on and logged to "TEMP" dir, and you could turn on more extensive logging. The existing log option for scanning should not change logging state but determine whether it is displayed to the user.

Is the absence of the option to view the movie title or the File name radio buttons present in previous versions purposeful, or accidental?

I am receiving the same error at folder 258 (sometimes it will actually scan to folder 260). Have you found the cause of this?

Sorry about the issues that some are having scanning folders at the moment, I am working on this, just been a bit busy the last week, I should have time to get this sorted over the next week.

That option has just been moved to the dropdown movie menu, the menu strip was getting cluttered.

hey billy, thought i would drop in to see how things are going Smile

alot of work is being done it seems and im still using 2.135

Just giving this version a crack now, as I reallllly wanted to speed up the ACTOR THUMB scraping into XBMC Smile

(just a questions though, if i set MC to scan in NO actor thumbs, will the actor thumb section in the nfo be empty? and therefore when XBMC scans in, it will not scan in or look for any actor thumbs? This would be ideal as I find no need for actor thumbs.

Just wanted to see if any dev time is going towards: 18 Allow the output of a single videodb.xml for super fast import of library directly into XBMC

I think this is the biggest feature as XBMC takes so damn long and another reason why we use this app Smile

just tested, and it rebuilt my MC database(from existing nfo's) when i selected the folders.

Problem: I just added a special episode for lost and tried to scan it it and I get this error in the output log, and it dosnt add the episode:

just tried reloading my older version 2.135, which i had in another folder. Now that is not able to add the new episodes either. I presume ive corrupted my settings files(i think which are in application data etc). Not sure what to do now Sad

EDIT: Thought I would also add that no dialogue box is popping up to ask me if i would like to add these episodes (as 2.135 did when successfully scraped)

Same error even with old versions after trashing config files. Could it possibly be a problem with thetvdb? The app I use to perform a tvrename works fine still though...

tvrename is only getting the name of the ep and numbering. MC goes much deeper when retrieving and gets plot, thumbs etc

i'm getting the same error. i'm feeling like there's a problem between thetvdb.com and MC. the movie scraper seems to be working fine.

looking at the error that comes up, it can't be a problem with thetvdb because it says "TVDB API Returned Valid XML".

maybe tvdb slightly changed its API and it now breaks MC's scraper? It seems MC scraper is having problems closing or somthing? Ive got no idea lol
