I am currently using MC 3.198 and I have tried this show with several versions back with the same result.

I have this folder structure:

3x3 Eyes

there are only 7 episodes for the entire Show/season but I get the error below, Is this an issue with TVDB or MC? The show does exist show id 70973.

Wild guess - the regex is getting thrown by the show name "3x3 Eyes" containing number then 'x' then number.

AnthonyB has it correct,

The only fixes would be to change the folder name "3x3 Eyes" to something else and re-add it to the MC folder preferences, removing the current folder. Once the episodes have been scraped you could change it back if you wanted.

Yes it is, see the Season 3 in the log file.......
You will need to rename the 3x3 to something else so as to not confuse the current inbuilt regex....

OR modify you regex....
You can try this regex, if your naming convention is the same for all your shows....
i.e. series x episode -
series cross episode & then a single space & then a dash then whatever (episode name it doesn't matter)

The regex below relies on the space dash component to return the last series x episode in the pathname... the one you want it to

([\d]{1,2}) ?[xX] ?([\d]{1,2}) -

In the preferences you will see a tab for Profiles & Regex, in there add a space & dash to the regex that starts the same as the regex above.
If you stuff it up, just hit the Restore defaults & try again.
Now it should find your show episodes correctly.

PS here is another regex that should work just as well, it relies on the fact you have the season number also in the path so it looks for the series x episode after the word Season....

[Ss]eason ?[\d]{1,2}\\([\d]{1,2}) ?[xX] ?([\d]{1,2})

It will work with 'Season' starting with a capital or not, & also a space or not between 'Season' & the numbers. The season numbers can be 1 or 2 digits too.

No worries....if you are going down the regex path ......I have what I think is a better solution....

Using this regex

([\d]{1,2}) ?[xX] ?([\d]{1,2})(?!.*([\d]{1,2}) ?[xX] ?([\d]{1,2}))


Actually returns the the last match in the string!


This way you don't have to have any special naming conventions other than the Season/Episode information that is used will be the pair closest to the end of the string.
