This makes no sense to me, seeing as how it found more than half of my movies all in the same folder!

I have the exact same behavior.
I have tried on 3 different computers, always the same.

There are files in the folder, they are seen but MC stops at the first one giving the IMDB id in the log.
No NFO file gets created, very frustrating.

Looking into it in more details we can see on the billyad2000 site the following change log:

XBMC Media Companion latest version is 2.135
Changes Since version 2.134

Bug Fix

Media Companion scraper thread would exit before scraping all movies

Well basically this is exactly what is happening to us in fact.
I would therefore think that the bugfix applied in 2.135 does not address all the scenario and for some unfortunate reason we still suffer from the same bug.

Found a fix. Seems the most stable release is 2.085

I downloaded that version and it scraped the remaining movies in my movie folder. Give that a try and let me know if it also worked for you

Um guys........the latest Media Companion that will handle movies is in fact V3.087 ......have a look in the http://billyad2000.darkbb.com/announcements-f1/

for the latest versions always refer to this part of the forum.

If you are getting your info from the web page, Um, I think Billy is working on getting that information more current.

Cheers

Ah! of course if I am using an outdated version.....this last one is very different from the 2.135 and best of all, it works like a charm.

Thank you for the hint, I had no idea the Announcements area was the place to find the latest version of the software.
I was relying on the website.

Thanks to you again for the help and to billyad2000 for having created this nice utility!
