Because it seems there isn't any way to do this:
I would like to have Media Companion get information for my Movies, which are saved like this:
root is:
c:\Movies
in there are the Movies:
c:\Movies\The Matrix
c:\Movies\The Sword in the Stone
...
in the Movie-Folders are Subfolders for different Formats for different Devices:
The Matrix\DVD\Video_TS
The Matrix\AVI\mtrx.avi
The Matrix\MP4\mtrx.mp4
The Sword in the Stone\DVD\Video_TS
The Sword in the Stone\AVI\tsits.avi
The Sword in the Stone\MP4\tsits.mp4
...
Obviously i would like MC to put the Information in the Movie-Folder-Root (and only there):
The Matrix\The Matrix.info
The Sword in the Stone\The Sword in the Stone.info
The normal Folder-Scraping puts the Information in the Videofile-root:
The Matrix\DVD\...\mtrx.info
The Matrix\AVI\mtrx.info
The Matrix\MP4\mtrx.info
The Sword in the Stone\DVD\...\tsits.info
The Sword in the Stone\AVI\tsits.info
The Sword in the Stone\MP4\tsits.info
The offline Folder-Scraping puts them in every Folder:
The Matrix\The Matrix.info <-- that one i like
The Matrix\DVD\DVD.info <-- not good
The Matrix\AVI\AVI.info <-- not good
The Matrix\MP4\MP4.info <-- not good
So please do either of the following:
Add a Folder-Scraping Pattern so that people can use it with different Folder-Structures
Change the Offline-Folder-Scraping to only scraping the Movie-Folder-Roots (not Subfolders of Moviefolders)
Publish the Source-code so i can try to fix it myself
Would really like to use MC with my current collection
