| I have tried to manually add 30 second trailers for my Star Trek episodes in quicktime format in my nfo files using the following syntax: <trailer>Past_Prologue.mov</trailer> <trailer>/TV Shows/Star Trek Deep Space Nine/Season01/Past_Prologue.mov</trailer> Neither of these seem to work as the "Trailer" button found under the "Episode Information" menu is still non-selectable (grayed out).
I also tried adding a trailer link to the nfo file with the following tag (this tag was taken from a previously scraped movie "Cars"): <trailer>http://www.totaleclips.com/Player/Bounce.aspx?eclipid=e27901&bitrateid=314&vendorid=102&type=.flv</trailer>
But the Trailer button was still non-selectable.
By the way, the preview movies are all in same directory as the episode.
Does anyone know if it is possible to add local trailers for these episodes/movies, and if so, how? Thanks!

| You just stack the trailer file in the same dir as the video, but with -trailer appended to the video file name. I dont know if it works with tv episodes, but i assume it does. The extensions do not have to match. The key is then rescanning (or refreshing via info) the library. For example:
The Dark Knight.mkv The Dark Knight-trailer.mov
Then either rescan your library or goto the movie in xbmc, press info, select refresh.

| Greetings, Nmarconi: It worked per your instructions for Movies, but unfortunately, it is still not working for my TV Shows. Thank you for the help, though! | |

| Billyad2000, Thanks for clearing that up. By the way, I absolutely love Media Companion and truly appreciate all of your hard work on this fabulous application! | |

| I have the movie 2001 and its trailer as two separate files in the same directory. No matter what I name the files, I cannot make MC add the proper <trailer/> tag to the NFO file. I have tried the following combinations:
2001.mkv 2001-trailer.mkv
2001 (1968).mkv 2001-trailer (1968).mkv
2001 (1968).mkv 2001 (1968)-trailer.mkv
If I manually add the <trailer/> tag, XBMC allows me to watch the trailer from the Movie Information menu.
Any hints? Thanks and best regards.

| I think now I was confused... MC never adds any <trailer/> tag to the NFO files, but XBMC does recognize the movies that have a corresponding trailer, and allows me to play both. Sorry for the noise. | |

| Have you enabled the trailers in the preferences. | |
