| New version 3.122 The TV Show cache file has been changed since 3.102 and it will not work with the new build, use the "Rebuild TV Shows" to fix the issueSo whats changed: TV Section
- Most bugs have been fixed
- TV Show Fanart browser now enabled
- TV Shows can be rescraped and edited
- TV episodes can be played using Media Player or other according to options
- TV Shows can be Opened in Browser at IMDB or TVDB
- Only seasons that have episodes are listed in the treeview
- TV episodes are now added to the tree realtime as they are scraped
- Adding or removing TV folders causes an auto rebuild
Other
- Media tags should now be imported into XBMC due to the addition of a <streamdetails> tag in both movies and tv episodes.
- The UI has changed slightly with the toolstrip now completely removed, and empty menu's have been removed.
- Maximised state is now remebered
- Multiple instances of MC are no longer permitted
- For new users who start the program for the first time, instead of crashing when selecting various options the user will be prompted to go to the preferences and add folders
- Also for new users I've added a very basic quickstart guide (If anyone feels they can improve on this then feel free)
- Media tags stored in old nfo's (Without the streamdetails tag), are no longer recognised, the result of this was that I discovered that the scrape media tags in the batch wizard did not work, this has been fixed.
Whats next
- Adding a browser for TV Show posters, season posters, and episode screenshot capability.
Download Version 3.122 Just overwrite the previous version, ( the config will remain compatible only if you are upgrading from version 3.xxx).

| Is the regex suppose to work in this build? I can't add any to the list. Just checking.

J_K_M_A_N Not yet, although probably for the next one. I just concentrated on getting the 2 main regex working properly

| Keep up the good work, I was using MIP for a while because MC was not working for TV shows, it sure feels great to be back with MC. Definitely the BEST, now I'm just missing the right regex for my naming convention and all will be perfect | |

| Hi, Stiil a great program and thnx, but (there always is ) since this version I get duplicate movies. moviename_cd1.avi moviename_cd2.avi where previously written in moviename.nfo now MC also makes an moviename_cd1.nfo and all stacked movies are displayed twice. | |

| Noted another thing.
When clicking "Search for new movies" the fanart tab becomes visible. When clicking "Cancel.." the same thing happens.

Media Companion has never saved the nfo like that, the nfo has always kept the cd1, using this convention stops MC from playing back files, or gaining Media tags after they have been initially scraped (It uses moviename.nfo to find moviename.avi (or other extension)). MC can however read them and even edit them, as it can for movie.nfo files. Only fanart, and posters can be saved using the stacked naming convention, and I only allowed that because of a bug in an old version of XBMC that wouldnt see fanarts stored any other way. I'll add a check for this in the next build, later today to stop the multiple nfo's being created, but If you are going to be using MC regularly then I would recomend you delete these or rename them to MCs best supported convention (moviename cd1.nfo)

| Thanks for the new build - cool.
Is it possible to disable "multiple" episodes? - It scrapes every episode as multiple, so they show up twice in the TV list

| Hi, im an xbox xbmc user with Latest nightly build.
I have a question about MC generated nfo's
Is there any way that you can make the first entry of "<codec>MPEG-4 Visual</codec>" & "<format>MPEG-4 Visual</format>" actually read say xvid or divx depending on the film, because Transparency skin picks up the "MPEG-4 Visual" and displays an "mpeg4 compression icon",for all my films, when I manually enter xvid in place of the MPEG-4 Visual entries it nicley displays the xvid icon. It doen't seem to pick up the <codecid>XVID</codecid> entry further down the nfo.
so from this MC generated nfo
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <multiepisodenfo> <episodedetails> <streamdetails> <fileinfo> <video> <width>624</width> <height>352</height> <codec>MPEG-4 Visual</codec> <format>MPEG-4 Visual</format> <duration>20mn 41s 909ms</duration> <width>1 061 Kbps</width> <bitratemode> </bitratemode> <bitratemax> </bitratemax> <container>.avi</container> <codecid>XVID</codecid> <codecidinfo> </codecidinfo> <scantype>PPF</scantype> </video> <audio> <language> </language> <codec>MPEG Audio</codec> <channels>2</channels> <bitrate>120 Kbps</bitrate> </audio> </fileinfo> </streamdetails>
to this manually modified nfo
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <multiepisodenfo> <episodedetails> <streamdetails> <fileinfo> <video> <width>624</width> <height>352</height> <codec>xvid</codec> <format>xvid</format> <duration>20mn 41s 909ms</duration> <width>1 061 Kbps</width> <bitratemode> </bitratemode> <bitratemax> </bitratemax> <container>.avi</container> <codecid>XVID</codecid> <codecidinfo> </codecidinfo> <scantype>PPF</scantype> </video> <audio> <language> </language> <codec>MPEG Audio</codec> <channels>2</channels> <bitrate>120 Kbps</bitrate> </audio> </fileinfo> </streamdetails>
Dont know if this is possible Thanks for all your effort

| I dont think its picking up any tags from this build,
Apparently the streamdetails and fileinfo tags are the wrong way around.

| Hi,
It was me who notified you of the stream details round the wrong way. So what I did was modified them round the right way , and my previous entry is how they are imported in.

| Hi, what a star the codec change in the nfo has worked a treat.....Fantastic It now displays xvid and divx as the correct codec on screen Is there any chance in a future build that you could modify the audio codec entry from the following "<codec>MPEG Audio</codec>" this just displays "MPEG2" flag for all movies in Transparency skin. So that the flags on screen would be mp3 or whatever the audio actually is. Thanks a lot John | |
