3.168 MC Switches Briefly to TV Shows & back to Movies on Startup.

Is this just happening to me? On initial startup its quite noticeable, but on a restart its barely noticeable....perhaps on a faster machine its not noticeable at all?

Can't say I've noticed this... but then I'm running MC on a Core 2 Duo E8200 (2.6GHz) with 8GB RAM running Windows 7 x64. Have 530 movies and 27 TV Shows with 327 Episodes.

I see this behavior on my Core 2 Duo E8500 (3,16Ghz) 4Gb ram running Vista x32 but then i have 1317 movies and 177 TV shows with 9190 eps

I noticed an annoying blink but didn't investigate, my CPU is 2.93GHz (and fastish graphics card) and is very noticable.

OK, so this morning I did finally see it.

I can confirm this as well. Never really paid attention to this until you pointed it out. Collection is about 1200 Movies and 4000 TV eps. I notice the initla startup tha tloading the Movie Database seems to take a little longer than before as well.

Can this seriously be considered as a bug?

It only happens when MC starts up, the program is loading... or am I missing the bigger picture here?

Well I wouldn't say it's a 'bug' persay. More of a little glitch. But we generally try and point out any issues we see to Billy. Especially if it wasn't happening in his earlier builds. It doesn't seem to affect the running of the program...but only Billy can actually tell that. Just keeping everyone informed.

Yep, ditto for me too, very quick flicker from Movie - TV Shows - Movie.

This is not a bug.

For the last couple of months I had in place preferences to allow the split containers to remember their settings between sessions. The problem was it just didn't work, try as I might, the split containers would load up with random settings.

I did notice that if the tab containing the split container was focused then the splitter settings worked, hence the flicker. Switch to TV, set the splitter distance, flick back to Movies, set the splitter distance.

So unfortunately, for the time being the flicker stays.
