OK, just confirming they are found by MC, but the audio track details are not added to the nfo file so that XBMC can show the correct icons?

Do you have any files showing the icons?

Do you have "Enable MC to save Media tags to the nfo" turned on in the movie preferences?

Cheers

Yes everything is set correctly. the movie itself gets scraped, just not the audio details.Audio details for AVI files are working .Also, is there a way so that media companion writes DCA instead of DTS to the nfo files? XBMC only recognizes DCA.

OK MC uses an external dll to determine this information.

Firstly I would suggest downloading the newest version of the dll & replacing the current one in the MC directory. It can be downloaded from here... http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/Download/Windows

Secondly, failing that, download the GUI & point it towards your vob files & see what it reports back.

Now I know that mediainfo.dll reports different codewords than XBMC expects so Billy has had to put in a few search & replaces to convert the media.info information to be XBMC compatible.

Cheers

I'm sorry for the lack of a reply, i've not been very active over the last couple of weeks, everythings just been a bit hectic and I have not had much time to myself, hopefully things should be settling down very soon, so I can get back into a normal routine.

When I get a chance I'll try ripping a few dvd's to see if I can duplicate the issue, as stormyknight stated MC uses mediainfo.dll to obtain this information, and it looks like different media formats return results differently. Hopefully I will be able to get it fixed.

thanks...media info gets the audio details with no problem..like I said, I've been adding them to the nfo files manually and that is what i've been using to get the details.
