themoviedb.org has added a ratings system to the fanart and movie posters so you can vote up the better images and they'll display first on the webpage. Media Companion seems to ignore this order though. I don't know if it's possible for the scraper to recognize this order or not but it would be great if it could.

It's a good idea, but TMdb does not actually include the ratings information within the images API, if they ever do, then i'll be happy to implement your suggestion.
