| Changes for version 3.317 - This version finally includes a batch wizard for TV Shows and Episodes. This should be considered beta since I had to handle multiple levels of objects, but I have tested it myself on multiple TV Shows and episodes without issue. At the moment the wizard can be accessed from the drop down TV Show menu.
- MC Command line now includes the episode rename feature if enabled
- MC command line will now create episode screenshots for those episodes that have no image on TVDB (if enabled in MC preferences)
- Added the option to use lowercase season and episode seperator for the rename episode feature.
eg s01e01 instead of S01E01 1x01 instead of 1X01
This is turning out to be a period of low activity on the MC front, and I do apologise. I can only hold the unusually dry weather and sunshine responsible, it's just too warm to be sitting for any amount of time in front of a monitor. I don't know how long this is likely to carry on for, but knowing what the weather is usually like in this part of the UK, I doubt it will be for long. For the immediate future I am not going to add any additional features, but will look at addressing some of the issues and bugs that have been reported. Download Version 3.317 Regards Billy

| Enjoy the nice weather while it lasts. You've created a great program and earned a well deserved break. | |

| Thanks for the update. I really appreciate the ability for the command-line tool to do the episode renames. Do you have any plans to add a batch rename option? I would like to be able to run the rename episodes on multiple shows at once (actually, I'd like to be able to run it on all of them at once) rather than having to right-click on each one and click rename, wait for it to finish, then do the next one. It could be an option on the command-line tool or in the GUI (or both).
Thanks. | |

| using latest version if I run a batch update on premiere date it clears all the release dates and doesnt get new ones. If I go to the table view I have to enter all the dates again. It also appears that the mc command line doesnt download posters or fanart? | |

| Well, we got 2 weeks of good weather at the start of July and then it went back to normal.
Hopefully all that rain yesterday inspired some development! ;D

| It seems that Media Companion is treating the episode number as a string rather than a number when sorting them in the episode list under each season. Right now, episodes 100 - 109 show up between episode 10 and 11 and episodes 110 through 119 show up between episodes 11 and 12 and so on and so on. The only show that I've seen it make a difference is The Tonight Show since there are now over 99 "episodes" in this "season". TVDB has episodes 1-99 in two digits (02, 98, etc) and of course episodes over 99 use 3 digits so that is why sorting hasn't been an issue before.
If you could take a look at this, I would appreciate it. It's not a big deal because it only affect one show and I don't actually look at the listing all that often, but it would be nice to get that fixed.
Thanks, Daniel | |

Thanks, Daniel This is a known issue, but not one easily fixed. The problem is that while MC sees the episode number as an integer - the treeview, by necessity displays a string which happens to start with the episode number, eg '01 - Title' These are then sorted by the treeview alphabetically. The only easy fix would be to increase the episode number to 3 or 4 digits, eg '001 - title' or even '0001 - title'. Since this only effects a small number of shows, I decided not to implement it.

| Is there any update in the pipeline?
I seem to be having a few issues around Runtime esp. if you Rebuild Movies after scraping, the runtime sets to 000 uselsess for sorting by runtime then. A few of these issues are detailed in the Bug Discussion along with several others which I assume need to be addressed.
Thanks! | |
