Regex and Database Export to Plex Server Help Empty
PostSubject: Regex and Database Export to Plex Server Help   Regex and Database Export to Plex Server Help Icon_minitimeSat Apr 28, 2012 11:53 pm

I have been trying to write a regex that will detect my tv show structure from my old server. The absolute path to these shows are as follows:

Z:\Shared Videos\MacGyver for Ipod\A Prisoner of Conscience (Mac 1.21).m4v

or

Z:\Shared Videos\[TV Show Name] for Ipod\[Episode Name] [(TV Show Name Acronym] [Season Number].[Episode Number]).m4v

What I have so far (which may be garbage)=\(\w+\s[0-9]+\.[0-9]+\)

The main problem I am having is that I am unable to determine how the Media Companion determines what is episode name and what isn't. I have considered editing the file names but this would be a major pain since this is also my iTunes library and still being used by the old server as well.

Also if anyone has any experience getting their Media Companion database into the Plex Server library would also be appreciated.

Edit: Should have read the post "delete missing movies"

Discussions on Media Companion have moved to Codeplex, Media Companion Discussion
but I can advise that MC does not have this feature available at this time. We may be able to incorporate in the next stable release.
