From Old XML Format To New

I have hundreds of movies scraped in the old XML format and I would like to convert them all to the new format, but I don't know how I would do this without deleting all of them and start from scratch.

I wouldn't care that much but many of the movies (especially foreign ones) with non-standard character encoding do not show up right on XBMC.
