Rip format 'quality' tag

These are not really high priority - perhaps I should also post this in the XBMC forum as feature requests too:

I was looking for a 'quality' tag where each media file could be flagged as e.g. 1080p, 720p, DVDRip, HDTV, TS, CAM, etc...
This could even be gleamed from the file name in many respects.
It is a control-freak habit of mine to retain this info so I know at a glance whether or not a movie is of good quality.
EDIT: Perhaps this could be the indicator for a HD or 1080p logo on the movie nfo data page.

Something else I'd like would be an integrated bit of GSpot info on the movie file - it would be cool to know the codec and how many audio tracks are available, as well as the number of audio channels per track...

...just thinking out loud here.

This is something I have been considering.

There is an open source project available called Mediainfo, it returns pretty much everything GSpot does. It also comes as a .dll and it would be possible to integrate this into Media Companion.

Anyway, it is on my list (it's a very big list)

I am particularly interested in;

'27 Allow for rescrape of a any ammount of tags for individual or all nfo files

As I have used MC to create nfo's for over 900 movies and have renamed several of them from the original names as some of IMDB naming really sucks especially when lookign at movie sequals.

Still, I precume this todo will "eventually" allow me to re-scrape the movies but "flag" Movie Name (or any other fields) so it is not overwritten by the IMBD data. If this is not what this todo means then please could you consider adding it to your list.

That is exactly what it means, the ability select exactly what tags you want scraping on a rescrape.
