| Is it possible and if so what is the correct naming convention for a multi-episode that airs as a single episode and is one file.
For example Stargate Universe aired S01e01-e02 as one episode, making the download a single AVI. MC recognizes this only as e01 and not e01-e02. I know that is because thats how it is scraped from TheTVDB. But just wondering if and how i can make it show that i have episode 2?

| s01e01e02e03 etc or 1x01x02x03 etc
should work. | |

| Wow that's awesome! I just tried it on The A-Team and it worked great. The first episode is a multi-part show and my work around was to name the episode the first part and just deal with it that way. I renamed the first episode and it worked after a little prodding!
This is going to be of great help with Doctor Who.

| Hi there, I know this is a bump and a half but this appears to be broke again... or at least for me.
I've got a file Stargate.SG-1.S07E01E02E03E04.iso, refuses to be scraped by MC. I get 'Scraping Stargate.SG-1.S07E01E02E03E04.iso' in the bar at the bottom indefinitely. This is a direct rip of the ISO from the DVD boxset. Folder structure is ROOT/SHOW/SEASON#/. I've tried the following names, all to no avail:
Stargate.SG-1.S07E01E02E03E04.ISO Stargate SG-1 - S07E01E02E03E04.ISO StargateSG1 - S07E01E02E03E04.ISO S07E01-02-03-04.ISO Stargate SG-1 - S07E01E02E03E04.ISO
Nothing seems to want to work. Can anyone help?
Cheers, K | |

Cheers, K This is a known issue and affects all ISO movie and TV files, it is external to MC in that it is caused by the mediainfo.dll library. This library is used to create the streamdetails, but ISO files can take many hours for some reason. A workaround is to disable the option to "Create HD Media Tags When Scraping" it's located in the movie scraper preferences, but effects tv shows aswell. Or just leave it scraping, they will complete eventually.

| Thanks for the advice, but I had an idea and it seems to have fixed it - updated the DLL to the latest version (0.7.26). You might want to add this in in your next MC update | |

| I've encountered another problem now - all four episodes in the .iso have the same thumb in MC. They sure don't on thetvdb... what have I done wrong this time!

Cheers K Unfortunately that is a limitation of XBMC, the nfo format only allows a single thumbnail per file, this means that a file such as Stargate.SG-1.S07E01E02E03E04.iso must have a screenshot named Stargate.SG-1.S07E01E02E03E04.tbn This may have changed, there is so much going on with XBMC at the moment it is hard to keep up, perhaps you could do the research for me. If there is a naming scheme that allows import of multiple screenshots then let me know and i'd be happy to implement.

| I've checked and it seems if I delete the .tbn in the DIR it fetches the four itself from the links embedded in the NFO.

| Hey, big fan of MC, but first time poster. I have a lot of multi-episodes shows named in one of the three following formats...
SomeTitle 02x05-06-07-08.avi or SomeTitle 02e05-06-07-08.avi or SomeTitle 02E05-06-07-08.avi
I'm not a regex expert and was wondering if theres a regex I could add that would scrape those patterns as multi-parts?
Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks!

| I tried this one for the 01x01 format...
([\d]{1,4}) ?[-xX] ?([\d]{1,4})
Inside the square brackets I added another optional character '-'
but it doesn't work. It seems that what ever is the first match must be repeated so x01 must be followed by x02 etc.... not x01 -02 -03
Cheers | |

| At the moment the user editable regex only work for single episode formats - they do work for multi-episodes, but will only find the first episode.
I am not very good with regex and could not think of a single regex that would get not only the season, but all episodes. The result was that I used a seperate regex to get multiple episodes
The multi-episode system is hardcoded into MC '(([EeXx])([\d]{1,4}))'
MC just loops through the filename unti there are no more matches.
I'll look into making this configurable, but it will likely only support a single regex.

should work. First time poster here. I have tried this, yet it does not seem to recognize both episodes in Media Companion. Using version 3.317 Thanks

Thanks To be clearer, I was scraping Star Trek Voyager s05e15e16. The result is s05e15 only. I have tried a couple of times with the same result. Can anyone help? Thanks

| What about looking for the same dress, on the internet? Or generally searching for the same dress getting a price and then telling them you HAVE found it cheaper else where.. I found the dress on different sites, not sure if it will be much cheaper or not, but its worth a look! You can choose Prom Dresses Under 200, Prom Dresses 2011 , Ivory Flower Girl Dresses from GoodGoodsChina.com. | |
