Stay at top of list when changing Sort Order

Not sure what general consensus would be on this, but every time I do a 'Check for new Movies' in MC, my next step is always to change the Sort order to 'Date Added'

By default, the focus stays on the movie that was at the top of the list of the default Sort order ('A-Z'), so when I change to 'Date Added' I end up in a random location in the list. My next step is always to then go back to the top of the list.

My request is to either
1. When changing the Sort Order, retain focus at the top of the list
2. This is a bit more out there, but change the Sort order to 'Date Added' after 'Check for new Movies' is run. Maybe is just me but my actions are to always change to Date Added sort after checking for new movies to check the content scanned and scraped OK. So this would just save clicks. Don't know if others do the same..

That is anoying as is the fact that MC doesn't remember what you'd last used.

I was just about to post this same thing. It's annoying that the view doens't stay on whatever was last selected. I always have my list sorted by Data Added when I am editing things (just makes snse and I am sure everyone else does it as well). Once edited I change back to A-Z so I can export the new HTML.

Me too re the date added 'check' of new movies, but I then revert to sort order as I have better control over sequels & trilogies ...


I see two options...
1. Remember the last selection so on restart its applied OR
2. Have the ability to set a default.

I agree it would be nice if after "check for new movies" that it would change to Date added as i always check scraping and then choose the fanart i want to use.
