3.182 Filter Sort Button on slow machines Problem

Clicking on the Duplicates box allows you to list duplicates which seems to work, however if I click on the word 'Duplicates' the list is updated but the tick in the box is not....

If it is sorting by the duplicates then the checkbox has to be ticked, MC loops through the whole listbox looking for checked items then filters accordingly.

I'm not sure why you would have this issue. The control is a checked listbox and duplicates is added in the same way as the other items. I have no idea what could be causing the problem.

Just tried this again & it is definately playing up.....

If I continue to click the box for example, eventually it will show no tick but also no movies....(using duplicates)


Is it possible to click the duplicates button before the previous duplicates process has completed?


I get the same issue with watched, unwatched, problem, missing fanart, missing posters & any of the genre's.....


Remember my PC is slow, maybe that is the issue? I see the switch to TV Shows on startup for quite some time.....

I've just tried this and it seems to be working fine for me with 3.182.

I can click on the word Duplicates 10+ times and it just keeps alternating between the correct filtered list and my full list.
I've also tried clicking on the word and check-box for Duplicates in random order to 'break' the list but unless I'm licking ridicuously fast, and thuis get some list filter lag, I'm always seeing the correct results.

I think I can see what is happening, having a slow PC would definately effect the output.

What is happening is that when you are selecting a filter, MC goes and runs the functions that filter and sort your titles. This is probably being messed up by changing the settings while the functions are still running. I'll have to have a think about solutions, especially since the sortorder and filters are seperate functions, yet they need to all be disabled while the sort is happening.

Thanks Billy, Whilst this may only affect a few users, it probably is worth understanding how it is behaving...

I have 300 odd movies, so perhaps if someone who has 3000 shows & a PC 10 times as fast as mine, they may have the same issues....
