Subject: Renaming Network Drive name Mon Jan 11, 2010 8:58 am
Does anyone know how to change the network drive name? eg Elements(E:) I need to change the destination drive name so my MC will work on different computers and i can still see all my saved movies

just right click on the the drive and click rename?
Is that what you mean?

i don't know if that will do the trick. Is there something about \\ instead of the (E:) so it will work on all computers? I was having trouble when i plug my external into another pc. The drives were different names One (E:) and one (G:) for instance.

Not sure what you mean,
If you have MC installed on several machines, just browse to the path that is correct for that machine.
To change a drive letter you can right click "My Computer" and select "Manage" In the left panel, under storage there should be the catagory "Disk Management", selecting that will bring a list of your drives, right clicking a drive gives you an option to change the drive letter.
