| Subject: Gen 2 can't find my ISO movie files? Tue Jan 19, 2010 2:31 am | |
| I am new to Media Companion but working my tail off trying to learn more about it. I'm running into a couple of very serious issues though and can't find solutions to them. All of my movie files sit in their own folder as .iso images. The folder name has the same name as the movie, i.e., \\movies\spider-man\spider-man.iso I add the movies folder to media companion but it does not see the movies at all. I've even copied 2TB of movies to a USB hard drive and pointed it to the c:\movies folder there and it still does not see them. When I run "get movies" I get the following in the log; - Quote :
- "Error, exiting movie scraper
Error:- System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'class_mpdb_thumbs, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. File name: 'class_mpdb_thumbs, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' at Media_Companion.Form1.startnewmovies() at Media_Companion.Form1.BckWrkScnMovies_DoWork(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.OnDoWork(DoWorkEventArgs e) at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.WorkerThreadStart(Object argument)
WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF. To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1. Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging. To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog]. Second issue I am having is with TV shows. It sees my .ISO TV shows in their respective season folders, but thinks there are zero episodes. It does not seem aware that there are multiple episodes per .iso image disc. Any help much appreciated. This seems like a pretty good alternative to the built in scaper in XBMC but right now it seems like it is far more work to make it functional.

| Fixed it!
Only question now is what is a normal speed for Media Companion. Each scrape is taking several minutes going to be a long night!

| ISO's do take a lot longer than other movie formats due to the mediainfo.dll used by Media Companion. This dll gets the details of the movie such as resolution, codec & running time. The dll is made by a 3rd party & as such cannot be fixed directly.

| This was brought up under the 'bugs' forum, if you turn off creating HD media tags under the movie scraper tab in preferences, .iso files will scan at a normal pace. | |

Yes, I just found that and fixed the problem before an overnight scraping session, thanks!
