nfo files created properly, but show doesnt show in the main browser.

I am having trouble getting 1 season of Friends to scrape correctly. Basically its the last season and the group that ripped it changed their file naming structure from sxxexx to 1001 (season 10 episode 1)

When I search for the new episodes it catches all of them, and creates the .nfo with all the appropriate info but it fails to load the season into the main browser...

Am I doing something wrong? I had this issue with other shows, and deleting the nfo and the .tbn from the folder, and renaming them from 1001 to s10e01 fixed the issue, but I don't understand why it wont load them into the main browser, as it seems to scrape them just fine.

Any help would be appreciate so in future I can just scrape them and not have to rename the files.

I have a similar problem. I've noticed that several of my shows that previously scraped successfully and created all the relevant nfo files, etc. now do not display in the main browser. In some cases I can see some seasons but not others, and for other shows, I see only the the main page for the show, but no seasons are listed at all. Also, is there a way, when no IMDB or TVDB listing is available and you create your own file for a show, to then add the episodes and seasons?

@mfpockets are you sure MC is creating a valid nfo file? If you open it up in notepad, does it list the correct series & episode & plot information for that episode. Also what is an example of the full path to one of the episodes. The reason i ask that is that MC looks left to right across the whole path to find a regex match. If a folder is named in a way that MC thinks it finds an series & episode it will use that first.

The easiest way is to just rename the episodes to SxxExx format - it stops most of these issues...

@met_fan you can create your own nfo's, just copy one from another show or episode & edit it yourself in notepad. Then perform a rebuild to get MC to search for nfos & rebuild its database.

I since renamed the files to make it work, but it had created the nfo as 1001,1002,1003 and all of them had the information inside them (plot etc etc)

The path was Z:\TV\Friends\Friends.All.Seasons.UNCUT.DVDRip.XviD\Friends.S10.UNCUT.DVDRip.XviD-SiSO with all the episodes inside that folder. All other episodes showed fine in the main browser.

Definitely odd... sounds like the rename failed & that then stopped it adding it to the lists....
