Movie fanart causing some problems?

Going through my library today in Media Companion (2.141), I noticed some movies (~ 15%) which had previously displayed correctly are now showing as blank. When I highlight the name of the movie nothing shows on the right even though previously it displayed correctly. If I navigate to the folder that contains the movie it has a valid NFO and .tbn. All of the movies that do not display correctly also have a fanart image. For example, here is one movie that is showing "blank":



Now, if I delete the fanart .jpg, and select the movie again in MC, it looks normal:



Any idea what could be causing this?
