| Would it be possible to have the first image found automatically set as the fanart for each movie?
This would save me a lot of time having to go to the fanart tab, select the image and save for every movie and most of the time, I'm quite happy with the first image. If I see one I don't much like, then I can always go and see if there's one I prefer for just that movie.

| Enable the preferance in the movie scraper preferences "During autoscrape, Download fanart for movies" | |

| I've already got that option enabled but, at least if I select a movie and do Rescrape Movie, it still shows the "No Backdrop is available for this media file" image until I go to the Fanart tab and select an image and save it. I assume the same thing would happen if I was scraping from scratch. | |

| Rescraping only rescrapes the movie body from imdb, the purpose was to allow people to update votes and ratings, or to undo any changes. Rescrape does not download fanart or posters since many will not want their selected images replaced.
Only on the first scrape will MC look for fanart and posters.

| Ah, OK.
So how can I clear the database and start again. I've been trying to locate where MC stores it's database to delete that but I'm stumped!

| Media Companion does not have a centralised database, only an xml cache, which speeds up the load time.
It uses the actual nfo files located with each movie.
To remove them then just do a search for *.nfo within your movie folders and delete all the results. When you rebuild the movie DB they will all be gone.

| OK, I'll do that.
It's not particularly complicated to delete the files, but you might want to consider a more user-friendly option of auto-selecting a fanart for movies which haven't had one manually selected, when rescraping or rebuilding. Then if people do a scan without enabling the "During autoscrape, Download fanart for movies" and later enable it (as I did), they won't have to delete all the .nfo files.

| You can already do that using the batch wizard.
Its located in the drop down movies menu/Batch rescraper wizard
Select "Attempt To Locate & Download Fanart For Movies That Are Missing A Backdrop"
MC will try to download fanart for any movie which does not already have one.

| Once again MC proves to have hidden depths! This program seems about near perfect. There's normally something that a program doesn't do that annoys me but you seem to have thought of just about everything | |
