Awesome upgrade. I love the missing episode function. You were asking of where to go next. What about the idea of identifying where the missing episodes are missing.? For example:

You search for new episodes and MC finds that you are missing Dexter S04E05. In the list it shows up the title "Dexter" as blue. Once you expand "Dexter" it changes the colour back to default black and Season 4 in the list now shows up blue. Once you expand Season 4 it changes back to black and the missing episode is listed in blue. As you colapse the blue title moves up the branch toward the root.

Just my humble suggestion.

issue: it shows no movies.. I've given it access to 2 samba shares (>1500 movies) and it displays none)...I get an error when I let it rebuild the movielist

I've been having trouble with locking tv shows lately. It shows a padlock in the left hand side by the show name, but still checks it whenever I search for new episodes.

I was able to get around this by opening the tvcache file and changing the <locked> status to -1, but then when I go back into MC and unlock/lock it, it continues to search the directories.

I thought I saw this before and mentioned and agree that I still believe i continue to as well.

Is it possible to rename all episodes at once? I know I can have it automatically rename then when added, but for my existing shows/episodes, the only way I see to rename them is to right-click the show and click rename. It would be nice to be able to do it for all shows at once rather than one at a time. If it's there, I've obviously missed it. If it's not there, could it be added?

Ive not tried the renaming feature
but Renamer is a free portable app. FlashRenamer is awesome though.
It could do this. just fyi

I know there are quite a few renaming tools out there and I was previously using a perl script to do my renaming. However, since MC will now do it automatically when adding a show, I will go ahead and use the naming convention that MC uses. Since I will be letting MC rename all my newly added shows, I'd like to go through and have MC rename all my episodes so they match since my existing naming structure and MCs are different.

Maybe a custom naming scheme? like EPnamer and rashid TV renamer have.
I think once billy does an expansion on the TVshow context menu (like movies one),
maybe more options like batch rescrape wizard and rename all shows etc. might perhaps appear.

It would be great if it could export to eg AMC
there one can use the content to export it to MySQL (sql, csv, ...) or to "print" selected according to a dvdbox template and so on

Great work! I've been using a stable Gen1 for a while now and haven't checked back since the original Gen2's which were too buggy for my blood. This release is solid though. Much improved all around. Great job !

I have a few suggestions if that's okay:

create the application to have a FIXED width instead of a varied percent-orientated one. this way the program won't have to struggle loading it's tables.
instead of the numerous amount of radio buttons for each sort filter, have one context menu to select them.
the ability to hide/show the fanart and posters (would improve load time?).
ability to manually add a new movie. (I have 600+ movies - it takes a long time for it to search through the haystack).
get rid of anything that makes this program want to be a media application in itself. it's best if it's just a database organiser.

A couple problems i have found with THIS build were:

when I went to add my TV show folders, i listed my root folders, added the sub-folder with the button, and pressed save. once it finished saving those folders, i tried to go back to the main browser, but the program locked up. I had to end the process tree and start again. In order to successfully add the folders, I had to use the save folders button two or three times.
When I did manage to add my TV show folders, it added each folder three times. I had to rebuild the show list to correct it. (no surprise there, but odd behaviour and worth reporting).

P.S - please don't take any of my 'suggestions' to heart - they are merely my own thoughts.

What about a check box to add dvd covers or bluray covers to your movie poster
Something like this. In particular i would use this to add dvd cases to just my offline movies so that when i'm looking for a movie on xbmc i can tell if it is one of my DVDs or not. If needed i can change the below image to reflect Bluray or more DVD like.
