PostSubject: NAS and media companion   NAS and media companion Icon_minitimeThu Feb 03, 2011 11:14 pm

I had media companion set up all my movies scraped
i recently bought a NAS and i moved all my movies over to the NAS.
can i add the new folder directory without having to rescrape all my movies again.

and another question which is a newbie question.
i add new movies everyday to my file.
how do i update just the new movies to media companion without rescraping also.

thanks.
and i apologize if this has already been answered.

I'd just delete MC and start again.
If all the nfos, images etc are stored with your films then MC will add them all almost instantaneously.

Remove the old folder from the TV preferences & add the new one. MC will update its database with the new information. As stated, the nfos are in the same folders as the shows so if they are copied over as well it should all be fine.

You may need to check you path to your actors if you are using that feature since the path may have changed relative to XBMC location.

Cheers
